Boardroom Catering Sydney
The Board Lunch That Doesn't Taste Like a Board Lunch
You know exactly what corporate catering usually is. A tray of sandwiches, a fruit platter, a few wraps that were made this morning somewhere else. Everyone eats because they have to, nobody remembers it, and the food quietly says something about how much the company values the room.
Grant King does something else entirely. Torched yellowfin tuna with seared avocado and ginger. Spanner crab with potato gnocchi and soft herbs. Slow-cooked lamb shoulder with pomegranate, mint and pine nut. Sydney rock oysters, Moreton Bay bugs, hot-smoked salmon.
This is food from a chef who earned three chef hats leading The Pier to Australia's No.1 restaurant, and built Gastro Park to two hats and Gault and Millau Chef of the Year. Served at your boardroom table.
Why the Food in the Room Matters
When a client, an investor or a board is in the room, the food is part of what you're saying to them. It signals whether this is a company that does things properly. A genuinely excellent lunch changes the temperature of a meeting. It also, quietly, makes people want to come back.
That is worth more than the difference in price between a sandwich platter and something extraordinary.
How It Works
Tell us the date, the number of people, and any dietary requirements. Grant designs the selection, the food arrives, is plated properly, and the platters and bowls are collected afterwards. Your team does nothing.
For larger corporate events, board dinners and client entertainment, Grant and his team cook on site.
What We Cater
Executive boardroom lunches and director meetings. Client entertainment and investor lunches. Board dinners. Partner and leadership lunches. Corporate events, product launches and client functions.
Across Sydney CBD and surrounds, and throughout the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore and Lower North Shore.

Smile Catering, led by three-hat chef Grant King. Grant earned three chef hats leading The Pier to Australia's No.1 restaurant and brings that standard to executive boardroom lunches, with dishes like torched yellowfin tuna, spanner crab gnocchi and Sydney rock oysters rather than standard sandwich platters.

Boardroom catering is food delivered and set up for meetings, board lunches, client presentations and director sessions. At the premium end it means restaurant-quality individual bowls, seafood and charcuterie platters and properly designed menus, plated on arrival and cleared afterwards, rather than a tray of sandwiches.
